1 item is Werfel's application for a subscription, in connection with a special issue entitled Das jüdische Prag. The other item is a letter from Werfel to the editorial staff of Selbstwehr, concerning his open letter to Karl Kraus ("Die Metaphysik des Drehs"), which was first published earlier in the same year in the Berlin-based periodical Die Aktion, and which had apparently been reprinted in Selbstwehr, with an editorial preface (Vorbemerkung). In taking issue with Selbstwehr's preface, Werfel makes extensive remarks about Kraus.
